Central Park Players

Announcement – #GivingTuesday Campaign

Yes, some of you have already guessed it… this #GivingTuesday we are fundraising for a new stage floor!

At a total cost of $30,000+, we are relying on YOU to help us get there.

Our goal this #GIVINGTUESDAY is $10,000 with our #savethestage campaign!

Make a one-time donation or perhaps you would you like to be a Match Partner?

Reach out to Darcie Beekman to discuss being a Match Partner.

So, what does #SaveTheStage mean for our Theatre, and our Community?

Safety to our cast and crew to continue our 50+ years of providing high quality theatre at affordable prices. No more sagging parts, chunks of wood missing, marring up and peeling floor. We will only intentionally trip and fall on it!

It has been proven that those involved in the performing arts are able to engage the mind, emotions, and body in ways that allow them to handle real-life situations with better understanding, emotional intelligence, confidence and empathy.

It builds communication skills and is just plain fun!

Central Park Players will benefit from a new stage, but so would all those that rent the space from the City of Grand Haven — being housed in the Community Center. The stage and auditorium have been used for things like church service, other theatre groups, arts and craft shows, local business trainings, and lectures just to name a few. All of these things make this a better and stronger community and we need that power of connection now more than ever!

While Covid-19 has changed the number of things we can safely do all of the above mentioned are still active and ways to keep connected with us!

Spread the word! Start giving TODAY, if you can! We are a 501 (c)(3) so, as always, your donation is tax deductible. Just click on the Donate button and comment #savethestage or go to Facebook and donate to our campaign there.

We’ll be running this campaign through Giving Tuesday, 12/1! #GIVINGTUESDAY #weneedyou #matchinggifts #fixafloor #youfloorus #savethestage
